Color Wagon Rentals started with a simple idea: adventure should be easy, affordable, and unforgettable.

We’re Heidi and Will—Eight years ago we were a newly married couple who were ready to explore something new together. Neither of us had ever been to the Grand Canyon, so we booked a trip with no real plan… just excitement and a sense of adventure.

​

That’s when we found it—a beautifully painted campervan that completely changed the way we were able to travel.

​

For four incredible days, we drove across Arizona, taking in the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon and the red rocks of Sedona. Mornings started with breakfast cooked right out of the back of the van, and nights were spent camping under the stars in quiet, free campsites.

It wasn’t just a trip—it was freedom, simplicity, and connection all rolled into one.

​

Fast forward eight years later—the same campervan company was selling off their fleet. The nostalgia (and the pull for adventure) hit hard. Heidi jumped at the opportunity and purchased two of those very same painted campervans, with a vision to bring that same feeling of freedom and affordability to others—right here in Wisconsin.

And just like that, Color Wagon Rentals was born.
